Guild Rules Empty
PostSubject: Guild Rules   Guild Rules EmptyWed Nov 04, 2009 7:31 am

1) Members will not fight amongst themselves. In-guild drama will not be tolerated from ANYONE under ANY circumstance. Warnings will be given, and if they are ignored, the cause or causes of the problem will be removed from the ranks. If you have any disagreements or problems with a certain member, bring it to the attention of the Guild Master. If there is another highly active member of the guild that you have issues with, deal with it. Don't end up acting like a child and making a general tit out of yourself.

2) Always help a fellow guildie in need. While begging is yet another action that will not be tolerated, (i.e. - continuously asking for "run-throughs", begging your fellow guild members for gold, etc.), responding to serious questions and requests for help should always be a top priority if one is not busy or preoccupied.

3) While you are not required to attend every event/raid we host, be continuously talkative and cheery in guild chat, and donate every last copper to the guild bank, all of Undecided's members and initiates are expected to be an active and participating member of the guild. If you stay logged off for a maximum period of 2 months, you will be removed from the guild. The more active our members are, the more fun the guild is as a whole, and the further it can progress!

"Raid Procedures"
Our Requirements
Compared to other guilds, we don't have many requirements when it comes to our raids, but we do have some. A lot is based on trust, and on keeping a fair, friendly atmosphere. However, due to a lack in good behavior over time, we established some requirements for raiders in the guild, for all level ranges. These go as followed :
* To have read this whole page, top to bottom, and to be sure you understand the rules and procedures and agree with them. If you do things that are not listed below on a regular basis, you will be asked to rethink your behavior or not be let back into our raids. For new applicants you are required to put the word Murloc somewhere in your application so we know that you have read these rules.
* To download the mandatory raid addons listed, in other words, Deadly Boss Mods and Ventrilo.
* Always check the guild calendar and sign up if you're interested. However, if you sign up for a raid, please turn up for it.
* To have fun and be curteous. Nothing is more boring than a dull raid environment. And to know when to be to be fair to others. If you're getting a lot of the loot, let someone else have some of it.

Getting Ready
The most important thing for an individual when considering raiding in is getting ready for it. Not only in terms of gear, but mentally and in terms of elixirs, pots, repairs, knowing if you'll use a mic or not, whether you'll heal, DPS, tank. When you raid, it's not anymore about yourself. It's about joining with others with the common goal of advancing and challenging yourself against a stronger enemy. Unlike what most seem to think, raiding should NOT be about getting better loot. When starting raiding, you should have only one thing in mind : have fun. It's not about getting epics. Or getting that much needed rep. It's about getting with people you know and trust to be talented and reliable. It truly is a commitment.
So, getting that mind set when entering a raid group is essential. And with that in mind, everything else comes naturally.
Thinking ahead is important. Making macros, making sure you have add-ons if you think you need them, refining your spec, your gear...it's all part of a good player. Not every epic that drops is an upgrade. You need to know your class, your spec. If you're not sure, read up, or ask questions.
This seems like a lot to consider when just preparing for raiding, but it's important. Without the mindset for it, you won't go far. While it's hard when you start off, if you just learn the encounters and listen at what the ones with more experience than you have to say, you can go far.
